Govt. College of physical Education for Women, Dinhata was established in the year of 1985 where its 1st academic session started from October, 1985 in the Dinhata Girls High School. After that this institution transferred here in it's own land and entered the NCTE's shadow within 2007 and gradually created the administrative building with multipurpose conditioning hall, sports laboratory, library, conference hall, computer laboratory, virtual classroom with modern furniture and other required facilities. This institution is one among the four colleges of its kind and fully run by Education Directorate, Govt. of West Bengal.
